The evidence ladder is the set of five labels GenetixBay uses on knowledge-base articles, glossary entries and Greenleaf answers to show how well a claim is supported.
In practice
A reader can see at a glance whether advice is settled science or lore. Pre-harvest flushing is labelled Myth; supercropping for better buds is Grower practice, house-endorsed; mild late drought is Supported. Bay Trials exist to move claims up or down the ladder with controlled member grows, and Mythbusters shows the verdicts.
Some topics carry a GenetixBay house position set by the founder. Those are stated plainly with their label rather than presented as evenly balanced.
Units and formula
| Label | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Established | Multiple studies or extension consensus |
| Supported | Some research, or strong grower consensus consistent with research |
| Grower practice | Widely used, little formal research |
| Contested | Evidence conflicts or is thin on both sides |
| Myth | Evidence contradicts the claim |
Don't confuse with
- Evidence levels L0-L4: for lineage claims on GB-ID records, not growing advice.
- Peer review: one input to a label, not a label itself.
