The Seed Club is how GenetixBay members can get seed from vetted lines, including Bay Lines. GenetixBay's core company does not handle seed: the Seed Club is a licensed partner programme, sold by the partner, and it runs only where seed sales are lawful.
In practice
Every Seed Club lot is tested, with germination and other results published on its GB-ID batch record, so members can see what they are getting before they grow it. Lines must meet the same standard as Bay Lines: a 10-plant screening grow with zero herms, and a pooled herm rate from community grows that stays at or under 2% (see herm threshold). Pearls are not a way to buy seed; seed is never a prize, reward or Pearl purchase.
Seed laws differ widely, including on shipping, gifting and whether seed counts as cannabis. Check local rules.
Don't confuse with
- Seed bank (vendor): a seed shop; the Seed Club is a curated partner programme with published batch data.
- Bay Lines: the breeding programme; the Seed Club is a channel.
Bay Lines are GenetixBay's community breeding programme: lines bred from member-nominated keepers and documented males, tested and released with full records.Germination is the stage where a viable seed absorbs water, splits its shell and pushes out a root (radicle), usually within 1-7 days at 20-30 °C.A GB-ID is GenetixBay's permanent identifier, such as GB-GEN-0001842-6, for a genetic line, landrace, seed batch, plant, cut, grow, harvest, trial or document, so records never get lost or renamed. In cannabis growing, a plant (usually female) that develops both pistillate and staminate flowers or anthers; botanists call it intersex or monoecious expression. The herm threshold is GenetixBay's two-tier herm standard: a 10-plant screening grow with zero herms to be featured, then about 150 or more community-grown plants before a line can be Verified under 2% herm rate.In cannabis slang, a seed bank is a vendor that sells seed from one or many breeders; it is not the same as a conservation genebank.
