Heady describes something made with unusual skill, care or artistry, and the community that values it. It began with intricate hand-blown glass pipes and spread to flower, hash and growers who work in small batches.
In practice
"Heady flower" means carefully grown, slow-dried, well-cured small-batch cannabis, often from a named grower rather than a large facility. "Heady hash" means top-grade resin. The word also marks belonging: heads know the growers, the history and the lineages.
The word carries no specification. A heady label, like a top-shelf one, is a claim; the proof is in the dry, the cure, the smoke and the records.
Don't confuse with
- Exotic: fashionable and expensive; heady implies craft and care.
- Head: a dedicated cannabis enthusiast, the person heady things are made for.
